Social media strategist, Cynthia Baker, began working with her clients at the forefront of the digital phenomenon. Founded over 6 years ago, the social media-consulting firm, SAGA Haus, is a culmination of Baker’s vast experience in the beauty industry plus her in-depth knowledge of social media and content strategies, as she helps to grow her client’s business through a variety of online and social channels.
With clients ranging from corporations such as JOICO/Henkel, Number 4 Hair Care, TIGI Linea Corp/Unilever, Leyton House Professional, and FOLLEA to celebrities such as CJ Perry “Lana” of Total Divas, and Miroslav Barnyashev “Rusev” of World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) and more, Cynthia consistently brings superior and innovative execution which exceeds her client’s social media’s goals and expectations. Baker also takes her social media knowledge on the road to teach around the country – and the globe – about how to best optimize social media channels for business.
At only 15 years old, Cynthia enrolled in beauty school. But when she graduated beauty school before high school, that’s when she knew there was more she could do to push herself beyond the limits.
Within a few years of being a professional hairstylist, at only 20 years old, Cynthia opened her own hair salon, and juggled salon ownership while working as part of the education team for Matrix, a leading hair care company, teaching hairstylists about haircoloring and styling. Shortly thereafter, a brand-new hair care company revolutionizing the industry, PureOlogy, recognized Cynthia’s talent and recruited her away from salon life and into the corporate world.
Throughout the years after PureOlogy, Cynthia’s accomplished career with companies such as Maly's, JOICO Hair Care, Nancy’s Beauty Warehouse and Bellami Hair has provided a deep understanding of integrated marketing along with strategy development and tools to accelerate sales has all led her to where she is today. Currently in addition to her thriving social media business, Cynthia proudly served on the Board of Directors of the Professional Beauty Association (PBA) and is now the Vice Chair of the Foundation Board of Directors.
“Everything has come full circle for me,” explains Baker. “I promised my children that if I started my own business, that I would name it after them and that just what I did! SAGA is the combination of both of their first names and HAUS means ‘home’ in German and I want my clients to feel as if they are part of my family.”
